Rep. John Holsclaw encourages affected residents to seek relief following Helene

State Rep. John Holsclaw, R-Elizabethton, is encouraging affected residents in Unicoi and Carter counties to reach out to relief agencies or his office in the wake of the storm that devastated East Tennessee.

“The overwhelming image of towns flooding and houses, businesses and bridges washing away is something our community will never forget,” Holsclaw said. “In times like this, I’m reminded just how grateful we are to live in Tennessee, where there’s never a shortage of people ready and willing to lend a hand. It’s been inspiring to see friends, neighbors, and people across the state step in to help clean up and begin the rebuilding process.”

“I am thinking of the families who have lost loved ones across the state, and I continue to pray for the many Tennesseans still missing,” he added. “Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the appropriate relief agencies or my office for assistance.”
