Rep. Green Awarded NFIB’s Guardian of Small Business Award

WASHINGTON—This week, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) awarded Rep. Mark Green the Guardian of Small Business award.

Rep. Green said, “I am honored to accept the Guardian of Small Business award from the National Federation of Independent Business. NFIB is instrumental in ensuring small businesses have a voice in Washington, and I am grateful for their leadership.”

“Our nation’s small and independent businesses have faced economic hardship for the last three and a half years of the Biden-Harris administration, from burdensome federal regulations to the increased costs of goods and manufacturing. Small businesses deserve lawmakers who will support pro-growth policies and cut through the red tape.”

Green continued: “Small businesses are the backbone of our communities. When they thrive, so does our economy. Empowering and protecting small businesses is absolutely critical, and I will continue that fight in Washington.”

Brad Close, NFIB President said, “The NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award is presented to Members of Congress with a demonstrated record of supporting America’s small and independent business owners. This Congress, small businesses faced tough economic headwinds, especially from inflation, burdensome regulations, and threats of tax hikes at all levels of the government. We are proud to recognize the lawmakers from the 118th Congress, including Representative Mark Green, who stood up for Main Street by taking pro-small business votes that would reduce taxes, eliminate burdensome government mandates, lower health insurance costs, and fuel the Main Street economy."
