Rep. Burchett votes against continuing resolution

WASHINGTON, D.C., (September 29, 2023) – Today, U.S. Congressman Tim Burchett (TN-02) released the following statement on his vote against H.R. 5525, the Spending Reduction and Border Security Enhancement Act

“I didn't vote for a continuing resolution under President Trump and I haven't voted for one under President Biden,” said Rep. Burchett. “We've had more than eight months to pass fiscally responsible, single-subject appropriations bills. Leadership knows the deadline to fund the government and the American people know they're getting hosed when the House passes a continuing resolution that leads into an omnibus.”

Rep. Burchett has not voted for a continuing resolution since entering the U.S. House of Representatives.
