OGLES, MOSKOWITZ LEAD BIPARTISAN LETTER TO APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressmen Andy Ogles (TN-05) and Jared Moskowitz (FL-23) led a bipartisan letter to the House Appropriations Committee requesting they include the prohibition of federal funds for the purpose of delisting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a foreign terrorist organization.

Congressman Ogles said, “The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is guilty of injuring and killing thousands of Americans and continues to provide material support to the Houthis, Hezbollah, Hamas, and other terrorist entities. They are the foremost destabilizing force in the Middle East and cannot be allowed any opportunity to undermine regional stability and American security interests. I’m grateful to Rep. Moskowitz for co-leading this important effort to prevent the use of federal funds to delist this malign terrorist threat.”

Congressman Moskowitz said, “Put simply, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is nothing more than a terrorist organization," said Congressman Moskowitz. “I've been saying for years that the Iranian regime and its revolutionary guard is nothing more than a piggy bank for terrorist organizations that want to destabilize the Middle East and wipe Israel off the map.”

Cosigners (9): Reps. Josh Gottheimer (NJ-05), Steve Cohen (TN-09), Tom Tiffany (WI-07), Claudia Tenney (NY-24), Doug LaMalfa (CA-01), Lance Gooden (TX-05), Randy Weber (TX-14), Erin Houchin (IN-09), and Don Bacon (NE-02).
