WASHINGTON, D.C., (Apr. 19, 2023) – On the latest episode of Tennessee Talks, Maya MacGuineas joined Rep. Tim Burchett (TN-02) to discuss the budget process in the United States, how the federal government can reduce spending and pay down debt, and the impact our national debt will have on future generations of Americans.
“Maya really knows her stuff when it comes to economic policy and wants what's best for our country. She doesn't care about the red versus blue stuff,” said Rep. Burchett. “She knows that if we don't do something and do it quickly, our children and grandchildren will be in serious trouble."
Maya MacGuineas is a tax, budget, and economic policy expert and serves as president for the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.
