Knoxville tech entrepreneur Travis Howerton joins Rep. Burchett on latest episode of Tennessee Talks

KNOXVILLE, TENN., (Apr. 5, 2023) – On the latest episode of Tennessee Talks, Travis Howerton joined Rep. Tim Burchett (TN-02) to talk about his experience as an entrepreneur, what makes East Tennessee a great place to start a business, and how his company is helping government agencies and companies navigate complicated federal security laws.

“Travis is brilliant and did some really important things during his time at Oak Ridge and Y-12” said Rep. Burchett. “He started a small company that blew up and is now used by some of the biggest government agencies, including our Department of Transportation here in Tennessee. It's great to see the product of his hard work being used right here where he grew up."

Travis Howerton is a Knoxville native, former Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Y-12 employee, and co-founder of RegScale, which is a leading security and compliance company whose software is used by the Tennessee Department of Transportation, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, as well as financial institutions.
