Entertainment promoter and Knoxville native Ashley Capps joins Rep. Burchett on latest episode of Tennessee Talks

WASHINGTON, D.C., (Mar. 22, 2023) – On the latest episode of Tennessee TalksAshley Capps joined Rep. Tim Burchett (TN-02) to talk about Capps founding AC Entertainment, historic Knoxville theaters, and what he expects from this years Big Ears Festival.

“Ashley has done so much for the city of Knoxville and the state of Tennessee” said Rep. Burchett. “He's got an incredible resume when it comes to the entertainment scene and really knows how to put on a festival."

Ashley Capps is a Knoxville native, entertainment promoter, and philanthropist. In the 1980s he opened up Ella Guru's in the Old City of Knoxville that kickstarted his career in the entertainment industry. Capps launched "AC Entertainment" in 1991 and built it into one of the country's largest independent promoters, widely known for producing the Bonnaroo Music and Arts festival as well as the Big Ears festival. Ashley is widely respected for his philanthropy work and has made an impact on the state's economy through his promotion of the arts.
