Congressman Kustoff Secures $5.5 Million to the Memphis International Airport

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman David Kustoff (R-TN), along with Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN), secured $5,500,000 for the Memphis International Airport for the design and construction of a Snow Removal Equipment Facility for storage of snow removal equipment at the airport.

“The Memphis International Airport is the number one cargo airport in North America, and the number two cargo airport in the world,” said Congressman Kustoff. “Memphis is the epicenter of America’s supply chains. Snow and other severe winter weather cannot halt the airport’s operations. I am glad to help secure this funding that will ensure travelers and goods continue to pass through Memphis quickly, efficiently, and safely.”

This funding, with $5,000,000 attributed to Congressman Kustoff and $500,000 attributed to Congressman Cohen, was included in the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act that the House of Representatives passed on March 6, 2024.
