Burchett stock disclosure act unanimously passes through House Oversight Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C., (November 20, 2024) – Today, U.S. Congressman Tim Burchett (TN-02)’s bill that would lower the periodic transaction report timeline passed through the House Oversight Committee.

H.R. 10133, the "Timely Stock Disclosure Act" would require Members of Congress and senior government officials to report their stock transactions within 15 to 30 days as opposed to the previous 30 to 45 day requirement.

"You've got members on both sides of the aisle that get sensitive information and then start making money hand over fist. It's just not right and I'm glad it passed unanimously." said Rep. Burchett.
