WASHINGTON, D.C., (September 29, 2023) – An amendment submitted by U.S. Congressman Tim Burchett (TN-02) was included in the State and Foreign Operations appropriations bill that passed the House of Representatives.
This amendment prohibits funds from being used for the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, which is led by multimillionaire and former secretary of state John Kerry.
“This office doesn’t do anything except send John Kerry on private jets to fly around the world and push woke Green New Deal agendas,” said Rep. Burchett. “This special envoy is a waste and needs to be cut off. ”
