Green said, “I’m pleased thatthe Department of Educationisreevaluating its decision to pull funding from public schools for shooting sports. However, it’s disappointing that widespread criticism from both sides of the aisle was the deciding factor for ED to change its mind instead of recognizing the positive impact of these extracurricular sports. While I’m glad to see progress, all this could have been avoided if EDhadnot overreached by imposingits cultural warfare on our schools and children.”
